Europe should be important next gen as MS would like to take some of the market share from Sony. XB was market leader in UK but Sony has mainland EU.

Amiga Forever!

You wont have to have a SKY box to watch sky. They have a streaming service as well now.

Please remember that this game won't look as good as battlefield 4 or Killzone because it's designed to run at 60fps. Comparisons to 30 fps games with higher fidelity isn't fair. Let's not slate this game yet until we see it running on a console for real.

Far too many people far too quick to judge on so many things over the last 3 days. We know very little as yet about the real detail in these games and consoles.

I don't think they are in denial as the comments and views expressed today across the net have shown. There are very few saying the X1 is great or perfect. Even I stated above that I wasn't completely impressed or convinced. So you don't think hardcore Sony fans are on the offensive? Or sticking the boot in at all?

I want both systems to be brilliant games machines. I'm worried about where things are going with non gaming ideas on gaming consoles.

Man the Sony fans are going on all out offensive today. Some of the gags are funny, others a bit petty.

Let's be honest both reveals had issues. I wasn't bowled over by MS's focus on tv tv tv either but it's early days. Too early to really judge. As for the 15 exclusives let's see if they are big games or kinect rubbish at E3.

There are more questions than answers for both systems.

For me the lack of the rumoured 360 soc ...

Need a lot more convincing.

Right now I have more questions than answers.

As much of a fan of the Xbox that I am, as a UK resident I found the whole thing to be very American. Now I know that's the main market but the Xbox brand is worldwide and I don't think the event catered to, or even acknowledged the needs of users outside the USA. OK they mentioned football with Fifa but that was an aside.

Xbox is leader in UK but not in Europe. MS needs to give the Europeans ( and UK) reason to buy Xbox.

Reminds me of the Philips CD-i and the Commodore Amiga CDTV. It's big and could eat 2 wii U's with ease!

Must be a lot in that box. There's a huge number of ports on the back.

Looks promising but I agree with the comment about about the car sounding like a Hoover. I'm pleased they are importing tyre data like 'the competitor' did with Pirelli. It made such a difference to the handling to have an accurate tyre model. They need to record the engine sounds using a rig as well as having watched a few videos of the x-bow it doesn't sound right.

I would really suggest that the hardcore Sony crowd don't get too overly buzzed for this g...

I like the sound of the tyre manufacturer data being added. Similar to what Turn 10 did with Pirelli.

Well If that's real and I think it might be then wow. What a sexy looking piece of kit. I like.

Please be true. This would sit well in my cabinet under my xbox (Just kidding :-0).

Def nice design.

I find it interesting that the author of the article holds the game in such regard (almost rose tinted view), yet most of the comments below the article from average users sum up what most of us actually thought about the game and its many flaws and frustrations. The photo mode was good!

I'm afraid I agree with most of those views. It could have, and should have been great but wasn't. Good - yes but not great.

Props to the developer for the continued...

It will be interesting to see what exactly they have come up with given the time since GT5 and the time it took them to produce GT5 in the first place.

I doubt there is much extra power they can squeeze out of the PS3 and expect the new game to be a modest evolution of GT5. More premium or all premium cars, better cockpit views and some other candy/tweaks.

The highly detailed car models that they are producing to add to the existing premium stable will be use...

It looks like it but that's not a bad thing as the Xbox controller (switchable D-pad version)is my personal fav of all the systems I've owned.

PC gamers use it as well so It can't be a bad design eh?

I used to use a adapter to use a PS2 controller on a pc last gen but you had to map most of it yourself. PC Games now come with xbox controller support and that's great IMO.

This to me speaks volumes as the to state of the business and the perceived value of those who are running it.

Seriously I think we should all avoid pre-orders and the crappy carrots they wave. Its not worth it. There has never been an issue with stock supply. That was the original idea of a pre-order to ensure you get a copy at launch. Now the publishers have twisted that purpose and use them to secure vast sums of money against something that is of an unknown quality.

Do we trust any other industry as much by handing over money for goods on a promise? (especially one that's not...

Agreed. Materials physics and ballistics need to work together.

If I shoot a tank with an AK I expect possible ricochet/flak

If I drive my veyron into a concrete barrier at 250mph I expect my car to crumple/explode and to be very dead.

We need something new and refreshing please IW with decent net code. The lag compensation ruins it for me. Bigger maps/more players on next gen please otherwise BF4 will slay you.

So the guy who sells the physics middleware is saying that there should be more destruction physics.

Oh I get ya!

(shakes head)

I do happen to agree in principle. One of the best parts of Battlefield is dropping a house an enemy.
